About this place
Set on the 8th floor of Hotel Gracery in Shinjuku Kabukicho, Gracery Lounge offers an unusual cafe setting that frames the life-sized Godzilla Head looming just beyond the glass. Even when terrace access is restricted, the indoor tables provide an up-close perspective on the titan's massive profile and nape. Miniature kaiju figures set across the tables carry the film lore straight into the dining room.
The main draw is the dedicated Godzilla-themed menu. "Godzilla Vs Mothra. In Pancake Island" presents a stack capped with a Mothra cookie and a weighty, molded block of solid Godzilla chocolate, creating a striking three-dimensional centerpiece before the first bite. The visual flair extends to latte art and sodas detailed with monster silhouettes, alongside a Japanese-style parfait accented with King Ghidorah motifs.
Beyond the kaiju collaborations, the lounge serves seasonal sweets and casual savory meals. A strawberry Mont Blanc parfait conceals miniature cream puffs and vanilla ice cream, while light meals include a croque monsieur layered either with ham and 2 cheeses or with red queen crab and cheese, available as a drink set. Beverage choices range from bamboo charcoal-roasted mocha coffee, assorted teas, and Uji gyokuro green tea to Japanese whisky flights featuring Yamazaki, Hakushu, and Ichiro's Malt, carrying the space seamlessly into bar hours.
Open to day visitors as well as hotel guests, Gracery Lounge offers table service in a calm environment removed from the surrounding streets. With Wi-Fi provided and cashless payments accepted, including credit cards and PayPay, it functions smoothly as an easy meeting spot or a low-key work retreat in central Shinjuku.
